The Cabin in the Woods

As soon as the group of friends arrived at the cabin, they knew something was off. The air was heavy with a sense of foreboding, and the trees around the cabin seemed to lean in menacingly.

Ignoring their unease, they unpacked and settled in for a weekend of relaxation. But as night fell, strange things began to happen. Doors creaked open on their own, footsteps echoed through the empty rooms, and whispers floated through the walls.

One by one, the friends disappeared. Some went outside and never returned, while others vanished from their beds in the middle of the night.

Finally, only one friend remained, huddled in a corner with a flashlight, desperately trying to stay awake. But it was no use. As exhaustion overtook her, she closed her eyes for just a moment.

When she opened them again, she was no longer in the cabin. She was in a dark, cold place, surrounded by shadowy figures that whispered to her in an unfamiliar language. She tried to scream, but her voice was gone.

Suddenly, the figures stopped whispering and turned their heads. A single voice boomed out from the darkness, echoing through the cavernous space.

"Welcome," it said. "You're ours now."

The last thing the girl saw before she was swallowed up by the darkness was the sign on the cabin door, now illuminated by a strange, green light:

"Welcome to the Woods. Enjoy your stay."
